FORS was founded in 1964 as a machine shop and mechanical carpentry. With the introduction of new processing technologies, the company has specialized in the manufacture and sale of industrial folding and sliding doors, keeping the activities on behalf of third party. In addition to this department, the company has two other divisions: the manufacture of metal doors and windows, and aluminium systems for the construction sector.
The mechanical carpentry is meant as the art of bending iron and working with it in an industrial global vision. All processes are carried out in compliance with the EN 1090-1 standard that regulate the fabrication and assembly of structural steel and aluminium components. The technical department team is responsible for the design using modern drawing and calculation technologies for metal structures, and it cooperates with the production department in the search for innovative solutions. The range of processing of the carpentry division includes the bespoken construction of: fences, gates, service and emergency stairs, mezzanines, canopies, suspended canopies, bearing structures for offices and buildings, steel parapets and railings, elements for seismic structural stiffening, and special processing with painted steel and stainless steel.
The industrial closures division manufactures insulated industrial doors for various uses in the building industry and architecture. Folding and sliding industrial doors are produced using structural leaves clad with double pre-painted steel sheet integrated in/with a single panel with high density polyurethane foam, which is obtained through a modern automatic line.The company, that is always open to the most different market requests, manufactures industrial doors and panels in standard and non-standard configurations. The non-standard configurations consist of panels thicker than 50mm, using also special mineral wool panels, known for them sound-absorbing features. Aluminium doors and windows represent the third division, in which FORS is specialized since the early 1990s with the aim to meet the numerous demands from building and prefabrication companies, and general contractors, that prefer communicating with a single interlocutor, who will be responsible for the whole project.One of the main features of the commercial division is the ability to meet the new market needs, also when they exceed the production standards. This is possible thanks to our experience gained over decades in the design and manufacture of mechanical products, and to the expertise of our technical personnel, that supervises the supply from the measures to the installation.
